The Citizen Science Community Group organizes support for RE Sources and their Stormwater Monitoring Project to help protect Bellingham Bay.

Organizers are working to create science, technology, and administrative projects and subprojects for community members to easily plug into and contribute — working together as a team to resolve challenges that affect our shared environment.

About the RE Sources Stormwater Project

RE Sources has been monitoring stormwater runoff into Bellingham Bay, identifying pollution hotspots and working with the City of Bellingham and other stakeholders to address them. Three years of data collection has already revealed significant findings about where pollution enters the Bay and what can be done about it.

Cascade STEAM community members contribute to data collection, data analysis, and community engagement in support of this ongoing environmental monitoring effort.
